Becky Pasternik-Ikard joined the board of the University Hospitals Authority and Trust in October 2016 following her appointment as Chief Executive Officer of the Oklahoma Health Care Authority.
Pasternik-Ikard has been with the agency for 20 years. Previously, Pasternik-Ikard served the agency as a member of the executive leadership team as the State Medicaid Director. In that capacity, she provided the overall direction for SoonerCare Operations, which includes Behavioral Health, the Insure Oklahoma Premium Assistance Program, Member Services, Pharmacy Services, Population Care Management and Provider/Medical Home Services. In addition, Pasternik-Ikard was the lead Health Care Authority collaborator with the Oklahoma Health Improvement Plan and the Oklahoma State Innovation Model grant, as well as with state agency partners including the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, the State Department of Health and the Department of Human Services.
Pasternik-Ikard also serves as the 2016 co-chairperson for Oklahoma’s Executive Council on Developmental Disabilities. She is a member of the National Association of State Health Policy Academy; the CMS Managed Care, Children’s Coverage and Quality Technical Advisory Groups; the Public Health Institute of Oklahoma Board; and contributes to multiple state and national workgroups and projects related to health care access, coverage and system reform.
Before joining the OHCA, she served as an Assistant Attorney General for Oklahoma in the litigation and administrative law sections. Pasternik-Ikard has a Juris Doctorate, a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She has a background in burn nursing, as well as injury epidemiology.
